About Course

Distance M.Sc (Master of Science) is a 2-years post-graduation program in science, however, Universities allow the students to complete the degree in a maximum of 5 years. It is the post-graduate programme after Bachelor of Science that gives a vast in-depth knowledge about the subjects that are studied during B.Sc. According to the norms of the University Grants Commission, a distance mode M.Sc. course is equal to that of a regular M.Sc. if the university is AICTE, UGC-DEB approved. This stream of study will help the students to boost your career in the science field.

Enrolling for a distance course in M.Sc. is a great decision for the students who have already started earning in the jobs, doing any activity to enhance their career or just can’t attend regular college. Through the distance mode, such students can secure a master’s degree at the convenience of their place and time. The curriculum is different for each course specialization. It often consists of core subjects that are pursued by every student who has been enrolled in that M.Sc course, and on the basis of their interest, they can select from the list of elective subjects offered by the college.

The mode of the examination depends on various universities. Some universities prefer to offer online examination mode while some prefer offline examination centres.

A Master of Science degree is generally granted for studies in sciences, engineering, and medicine, and is usually for students who are more focused on scientific and mathematical matters. Who is this Program for?

Candidates should have successfully completed their Bachelor's degree (preferably Science, otherwise any UG degree) of a minimum 3 or 4-year duration or its equivalent. The passing degree, Bachelor's or Master's, should be from a university that is recognized by the UGC (University Grants Commission) of India.

This course is for students who want to gain in-depth domain knowledge and need a decent education in a good institution, or those who can’t afford the fees of a regular college but want to pursue higher studies. It is also well suitable for students who are busy in a side hustle, live remotely or can’t attend regular college due to any reason. Because of the flexibility in age to apply to this program, the students who couldn’t complete their studies in time can also apply, no matter what their age is.
