Courses offered by the University 

Bachelor of Arts

Bachelors in Arts is a program by Chandigarh University that provides an education in a variety of contexts. In order to provide a subjective knowledge and a deep insight to the scholars on History, economics, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology etc. Students also have an added advantage of online study material to ensure an efficient learning experience through a globally accepted course curriculum. The eligibility for this course is 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized board/ university/ council.

Bachelor of Business Administration

Bachelors of Business Administration is offered by the Chandigarh University as a professional course providing students with the skills required for business and management related jobs in the corporates. In the third and fourth semester, the scholar must select 3 courses/subjects and two courses/subjects respectively from their selected specialization.

Bachelor of Computer Application

Bachelors in Computer Applications has been introduced after seeing the incessant need for technical professionals. The technology is increasing and so is the demand for people who can handle it. Chandigarh University’s IDOL i: e: Institute of Distance and Open Learning offers globally accepted and industry relevant pedagogy designed especially for distance learners. Bachelor of Commerce

Master of Arts

Master of Business Administration

Master’s in Business Administration is a highly professional degree that is offered to the students and groom them for the corporates. After completing the course, the students will be skilled in business and management and would be able to solve complex issues in the corporate working. Through the distance education and Open Learning program, the scholars would become industry relevant and qualified professionals.

After completing the first year of the program, students would be entitled to receive a PG Diploma certificate from Chandigarh University. And in the second year, they can choose a specialization for their professional program. The four specializations offered are- Finance, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, and International Business.

The eligibility for this course is 10+2+3 or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized board/ university/ council.

Master of Computer Application

Masters in Computer Applications has been introduced to provide students with the latest technologies and methods in the computer and web domain. Scholars after post-graduation from MCA can grab associate jobs in IT companies, corporates or teaching. Students can also go for further studies and level up the technology game. Since it is a distance education learning, the scholars will have enough time to do self-practical learning instead of attending a conventional college daily. The eligibility for this course is Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree passed B.Sc./B. Com/B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2 or at UG level.

Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

Master of Commerce

MCOM stands for Masters in Commerce. Graduates of this program will be getting an in-depth knowledge of commercial and financial studies, accounting, business laws, economics, money & banking, business communication and a lot more. This course has been offered to provide professional studies to the scholars while they can take up responsible roles in the corporates in banking or corporate sector.

After successful completion of the first year, students can avail a Post Graduate Diploma certificate from the university.
