India is among the YOUNG countries in the world with the proportion of the work force in the age group of 15-59 years, increasing steadily.however, presently only 2%of the total workforce in India have under gone skills training. India has a great opportunity to meet the future demands of the world. India can become the worldwide sourcing hub for skilled workforce. the challenges for India get magnified, as it need to reach out to the million plus workforce ready population. Institutional Member participating under BPPS are required to adhere to the following code of ethics:

Should NOT exaggerate, to gain unfair advantage, the contentsof the course(s) for which accreditation has been granted.

Should NOT guarantee benefits to student that isactually false or not feasible.

Should NOT project insufficiently supported claims ofexcellence in connection with employment.

Should NOT distort statement of BPPS for own gain.

Should NOT make statement offensive to the public.This includes release of advertisements that are in bad taste.

Should NOT make statements of an ambiguous naturepresenting a false picture in any stage/ part of the scheme of accreditationincluding hardware/ software as also omissions and half-truth.

Should NOT involve in any other matter/ action repugnantto the spirit of ethical practices, including, behaviour to/ by thebeneficiaries,unauthorized use of copyrighted software, etc.

 



Liability Clause

The institutional member would be held responsible if the training centres have insufficient infrastructure as prescribed in the norms.

The involvement of the Institutional member in any fraudulent activities such as fake/ duplicate registration of beneficiaries,overstatement of financials, misleading information, etc., would lead to its blacklisting from working with any government programmes in the future.

 

Eligibility Criteria(IM)

Bhartiya Prodyogik Prashiskshan Sansthan (BPPS) is an intensive platform of members, who are IT professionals, ICT enabled service providers and Vocational Training Centers throughout the country. BPPS helps to protect their interests and to struggle for their legitimate rights and general extension of computer literacy and vocational education. To minimize fee for computer higher education, BPPS supports to organize syllabuses on the subjects of Vocational Training, organize camps and seminars of experts to provide a forum and facilities for the exchange of information and experience. BPPS is prepared to promote development of Vocational Training services and to promote, encourage and take part in survey and research studies in the Skill Development.

Become a Zonal Coordinator(ZC)

The physical delivery of the Skill Development training would be done through various partner agencies to be identified by the respective State Governments/ UTs. The programme would be implemented through the IM, ZC, Vocational training Centres under MHRD, IGNOU centres, NGOs involved in IT literacy, Rural Self- Employment Training Institutes, Industry partners, companies with CSR provisions, etc.



Who can be a Zonal Coordinator? 

  • A Zonal Coordinator must be an organization registered in India, conducting business in the domain of education/ Vocational Training.
  • The institution/ organization should be registered under any act of law in India.
  • The partner must have clearly defined objectives, well-documented processes and procedures covering the entire range of education /Vocational training. 

Role of a Zonal Coordinator

  • A  Zonal Coordinator shall be responsible to have or appoint the Training Centers in the identified Districts/ Blocks/ Gram Panchayats that would impart Vocational training to the beneficiaries.
  • A Zonal Coordinator shall be responsible for ensuring that the training centers adhere to the BPPS requirements.
  • A Zonal Coordinator shall be accountable for monitoring the overall working of the VTCs that fall under its purview.
  • A Zonal Coordinator shall be liable for accurate and timely reporting of the aforementioned work ascribed to the centers.

The ZCs/ IMs/ Corporate desirous of providing Vocational courses under the Bhartiya Prodyogik Prashikshan Sansthan (BPPS) are to meet the following requirements/ standards:

The institution/ organization should be registered under  of law in India, e.g., in the case of a company it must be registered with the Registrar of Companies, in case of Society, it must be registered with the Registrar of Societies as so on and so forth.

Points to consider after Accreditation

Provisional Accreditation is granted for the entire periodof the project.

Accreditation granted to a coordinator may be withdrawn, ifit fails to adhere to the norms or for other specified reasons of accreditation.

Observers who are experts in the field will visit the concernedZonal Coordinator and send their reports when complaints about the functioningof the partners are to be investigated.

After accreditation, the training partners are expected tosubmit a monthly progress report to BPPS Project Management Unit (PMU). If anyaspect of the programme is found to be unsatisfactory or in non-compliance ofnorms,BPPS reserves the right to revoke the accreditation.

The Zonal Coordinator shall ensure that the Vocational Training Centres desirous of providing digital literacy courses under the Bhartiya Prodyogik Prashikshan Sansthan (BPPS) are obliged to meet the following desirable requirements/ standards:

A training centre must be part of a registered organization in India with proven training and facilitation credentials in the domain of education/ vocational training

After all the documentation is completed by Zonal Coordinator, BPPS PMU will verify the documents and approve or reject the application.



Desirable Physical, Human and Technical Infrastructure Requirements

 

Physical Infrastructure

-                 Minimum carpet area of 200- 500 sq. ft

-                 One class room to seat 5 -20 students

-                 Located within the Panchayat boundaries

 

Technical Infrastructure

-                 Minimum of 3-5 Operational Computers (Laptop or PC) with genuine/ licensed software

Out of 3-5 computers, one shall be a low-end server

All computers should have been connected on a local network

-                 One High Resolution Web Camera

-                 Reliable Internet Connectivity with the minimum speed of 256 kbps

-                 One printer and scanner

-                 One Mobile Phone and Tablet

-                 Biometric devices prescribed by BPPS PMU

 

Human Infrastructure

Each training centre shall have a minimum of

Objective

Making one person in every family digitally literate is one of the integral components of the Prime Minister's vision of "Digital India".

Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyaan is the scheme to make six crore persons in rural areas, across States/UTs, digitally literate, reaching to around 40% of rural households by covering one member from every eligible household by 31st March, 2019.

The Scheme would empower the citizens in rural areas by training them to operate computer or digital access devices (like tablets, smart phones etc.), send and receive e-mails, browse Internet, access Government services, search for information, undertake digital payment etc. and hence enable them to use the Information Technology and related applications especially Digital Payments to actively participate in the process of nation building. The Scheme aims to bridge the digital divide, specifically targeting the rural population including the marginalised sections of society like Scheduled Castes (SC) / Scheduled Tribes (ST), Minorities, Below Poverty Line (BPL), women and differently-abled persons and minorities.

Appreciation of Digital Literacy

To make a person digitally literate, so that he/she can operate digital devices (like Tablets, Smart phones etc) send and receive emails & browse Internet for information and undertake digital payment etc.

Nominated digitally illiterate person from every eligible rural household.

Age : 14 to 60 years

  • Student Once Enrolled in Course can cancel their course at any time but no refund of payment is allowed in any case.

  • All Center accreditation once made are not eligible for refund after desktop or physical inspection.
  • Erroneous duplication of payment will be eligible for refund post appropriate submission of proofs of duplicate payments on payments.nisd@gmail.com and validation of the same by National Institute of Skill Development. 
  • All the refunds must be claimed within one month of the date of transaction.

PGDCA stands for Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications. It is a one-year course for a fee of just 12000 INR. It is a 44 credits course with a total of 7 divisions.

You will be getting knowledge about computer fundamentals and programming in C, Data Structure through C, Internet and Ecommerce, Database Management Systems, Operating System with Unix & Shell programming, System Analysis & design, Visual Basic, Mathematics & Graph theory and practical assignments to give a hands-on knowledge.

The eligibility for this program is 10+2+3 or equivalent.

Bachelor of Arts

BA stands for Bachelors in Arts. It is offered in many specializations with a total of 36 credits. The minimum duration of completion is 3 years and the maximum duration to complete is 6 years. If a student couldn’t complete the course in 6 years, full fees have to be paid again.

The eligibility for this program is 10+2 or equivalent.

Bachelor of Business Administration

BBA stands for Bachelors in Business Administration. It is offered with a total of 42 credits per year. The minimum duration of completion is 3 years and the maximum duration to complete is 6 years. If a student couldn’t complete the course in 6 years, full fees have to be paid again. This has been designed to provide the students with a piece of in-depth knowledge and practical learning experience related to business, management, administration, corporate roles, consumer behaviour, marketing, business laws, financial management, etc.

The eligibility for this program is 10+2 or equivalent.

Bachelor of Science

BSC stands for Bachelors in Science. It is offered with a total of 34 credits per year. The minimum duration of completion is 3 years and the maximum duration to complete is 6 years. If a student couldn’t complete the course in 6 years, full fees have to be paid again. The scholars can choose among the two options, B.Sc. (PCM) for Maths’s specialization and B.Sc. (ZBC) for Biology specialization.

The eligibility for this program is 10+2 or equivalent with PCM for B.Sc. (PCM) and with PCB for B.Sc. (ZBC).

Bachelor of Computer Application

BCA stands for Bachelors in Computer Applications. It is offered with a total of 38 credits in the first year, 36 in the second year and 38 in the third year. The minimum duration of completion is 3 years and the maximum duration to complete is 6 years. If a student couldn’t complete the course in 6 years, full fees have to be paid again. It has a total of 23 subjects. The students will have hands-on knowledge on computer fundamentals, Database Management, Discrete Mathematics, computer-oriented statistical and optimization methods, computer graphics, software engineering and a lot more.

Bachelor of Commerce

BCOM stands for Bachelors in Commerce. It is offered with a total of 30 credits in the first and second year and 32 credits in the third year. The minimum duration of completion is 3 years and the maximum duration to complete is 6 years. If a student couldn’t complete the course in 6 years, full fees have to be paid again.

Graduates of this program will be getting an in-depth knowledge of commercial and financial studies, accounting, business laws, economics, money & banking, business communication and a lot more. Either you can get an associate-level job in accountancy, finance, marketing, business or related field, or you can easily upscale your qualification and enrol yourself for further studies.

Master of Arts

MA stands for Masters in Arts. It is offered with a total of 32 credits in the first year, and 36 in the second year.
